The ATCMK1 Chuffer

Key Features

Most Realistic Analogue Chuffer On The Market

Circuit Monitors feed back from loco on track allowing chuff rate to change when loco goes up an incline etc.

Only One Initial Control to set up

When chuffer is left idle steam sound hiss dies down after approx. 10 seconds and builds up again before moving off

Originally Designed For G Scale Loco’s This is also at Home In Other Gauges Mounted on The BaseBoard Of a Smaller Gauge With The Speaker In The Middle To Give All Round Sound

It uses voltage sensing circuitry to adjust the chuff rate. With 0 volts a steady hiss of steam can be heard. Advance the track control slowly and the steam volume rises and starts to make a deep chugging sound mimicking the cylinders labouring. As you increase speed so a more mellow chuff is heard. Slowly reduce speed and the chuff rate slows. On stopping the loco excess steam can be heard for about 10 seconds and then dies down in volume to a quiet steam hiss .The unit has just two controls that, once set, can be left alone. One to adjust the starting chuff rate because different train motors have different starting voltages and the other is a volume control. There is a small amp board with all connections that also has a small loudspeaker but don't be fooled by its size. The unit is powered by two pp3 batteries and comes with simple setup instructions, a copy of which can be seen buy clicking here

The board measures 3½ inchs by 2 inchs (9cm x 5cm)
